Patriot Day

In honor of Patriot Day, September 11th, students and staff at Lake Elementary were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to school on Friday.

First Day of School

I was so glad to meet so many students at Open House the evening before school started. While I didn't learn everyone's name that night, it allowed me to become familiar with faces, and I recognized each student as they walked into the classroom on Thursday, August 26th!

It sure was a warm and toasty first couple of weeks. We spent a lot of time reviewing school and classroom rules and procedures, as well as completing a few team-building activities with our new class "family." I was able to gather right away that this is one fine class!
